Don't believe the lie that this will moderate as you get older. It doesn't.
I take Lisinopril for my blood pressure (generic Zestril) and the medication causes my system to flush out fluids. Until I learned to moderate my fluid intake after getting up, I learned where all the restrooms were located at the grocery store, near the post office...everywhere.
I thought the medication would make me more stable in regards to what your character goes through but...no. The fluids still run through the upper and lower GI as well as the bladder. FUN.
